Mossley Hill Archery Club is a small club situated in a leafy suburb of South Liverpool. We can be found on the Field of Hope at Mossley Hill Athletic Club, behind the parish church. The club was formerly known as Liverpool Archery Club and founded in 1949. We are a multi disciplined group of archers who are affiliated to the Lancashire Archery Association (LAA), the Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS), Archery GB and are a section of Mossley Hill Athletic Club. Recurve, compound, longbow and novice archers are welcome to join, (we cannot cater for cross bows) subject to membership spaces being available, and where ‘novice archers’ must have successfully completed a beginners course run by either us or another Archery GB affiliated club. Our governing body is Archery GB, and we shoot in accordance with their rules and regulations. |
When we shootOur main club night is on Tuesday evenings, during the outdoor season, but providing you meet with the required criteria and if two or more members are in attendance, members may shoot most days of the week, year round, unless there is a large event on at the Athletic Club. We like to shoot indoors, during the winter months, subject to an indoor facility being available, however you will still find some of our hardier members on the field when the weather is fine.
