Membership

We are a small, friendly, close knit club with a membership capacity of 50 members. This figure is dictated by the physical space that is available on our field, which in turn determines how many people can shoot at any one time. We require all our members to have attended a beginners course prior to joining and we need to have sight of the certificate if you haven't attended our programme.
Our annual fee covers your membership of Archery GB, for affiliation and insurance, Lancashire Archery Association , Northern Counties Archery Association, Mossley Hill Athletics Club, and allows you to shoot all year round. We also provide all new members a membership handbook to help them learn the ropes, etiquette and club 'in house' rules more easily. Fees are payable prior to the start of the outdoor season in April and we operate a strict no pay, no shooting policy. The winter indoor season attracts a separate fee to cover hall hire costs.
All members, subject to thier physical abilities, and will be required to assist in the setting up and storage of the field equipment, we are are mutual, self help group.
There is a dress code, that operates following your initial novice period, details of which are to be found in the membership handbook.
The handbook outlines our standing orders and standard archery etiquette that should be used during the shooting period, along with other useful information.
Currently it is expected of members that they are anti Covid vaccinated, or are able to show two recent negative Covid test results.
